4 Unavoidable Stages of Every Successful Blog
.
If you want to succeed in blogging, you must take these 4 important steps to be able to make your blogging career a success.
.
From those earning Zero (0) dollars to those earning above $500,000 US dollars and down to those in between, I’ve been opportuned to meet many bloggers in the course of my marketing career.
And this has further reinforced the conclusion that there are only 4 stages to a successful blog.
.
Those who have succeeded at different levels of blogging have dutifully passed through each of these 4 stages.
While those struggling with blogging are stuck in one or more of these 4 stages.
The problem occurs whenever people impatiently want to jump stages…or when they fail to dutifully pass through the process of each stage.
.
If you want to succeed in blogging, then there are no negotiations. You have to dutifully pass through each stage listed below… as each stage has the capacity to make or Mar your efforts.
.
Stage 1: Niche Selection And Website Development
.
Besides the cost-per-click (CPC), there are certain factors that must be taken into account before settling on a niche.
.
Your niche sets the very first foundation on which every other thing lies.
In addition to niche selection, how you decide to go about developing your website would also affect your blogging career.
.
Whether you end up making money sooner or later, and how much you end up making monthly, will be largely decided by both your niche and the strategy behind your website development.
Most of these strategies on niching and web development will be broken down and revealed to you here.
.
2. Keyword Research and Content Creation
.
The next stage is the stage of content creation.
The kind of content you publish on your site and the type of keywords those content are based on also determine your blog income.
.
Naturally speaking, the higher the number of the RIGHT type of content you publish on your site, the more income your blog generates, all things being equal.
.
3. Building High-Quality Backlinks
.
This is the 3rd stage…and also one of the most important to your overall blog traffic and income.
Many struggling bloggers are of the opinion that writing “great content” will fetch them all the traffic and income they need.
.
But if they’re operating in a highly competitive niche, nothing else could be farther from the truth.
Truth is, the more competitive your niche is, the more backlinks you’ll need from authoritative sources in order to rank your content on Google and make money.
.Put simply, a backlink is like a “vote of confidence” in the eyes of Google.
The more votes your site gathers from already trusted sites, the more Google begins to see your site as trustworthy too…and would then start ranking your posts higher in the search engines.
When it comes to backlinks, quality is just as important as Quantity.
.
If you get a ton of backlinks from spammy and untrustworthy sites, Google will also begin to see your site and its contents as spammy and trustworthy, which will therefore lead to lower rankings in the search engine, further leading to poor traffic and zero income.
.
In my experience, writing Great content and building high-quality backlinks is where many bloggers struggle the most.
Many sites charge the equivalent of N25,000 to secure just one link from their site to your own site, thereby making it super expensive for many Nigerian bloggers to compete and even rank.
.
4. Conversion And Income
.
This is the last stage.
When you write content and build backlinks, you’re doing so with the purpose of attracting traffic to your site.
.
However, when the traffic shows up, you still have to convert them for it to translate to income.
If you’re monetizing with Adsense, a conversion would simply mean clicking on an Ad on your site.
If it’s affiliate marketing you’re monetizing with, a conversion would be getting them to buy the product you’re recommending. The same applies if you’re selling your own product or services.
.
The strategies of conversion are beyond the scope of a free post.
.
So there you have it, the 4 stages of every successful blog.
If you follow them one after the other, you’re guaranteed to start making serious income from your blog.
